ICC World T-20: England win to enter Finals, while New Zealand to return home

New Delhi: In the First Semi Finals of the ICC World Twenty- 20, 2016 the English team won against New Zealand and sent them back to their home with empty- hands. The match was played yesterday, Wednesday, 30th March and England brought the last year’s memories back, where in ICC world Cup 2015.

The victory of England is witnessed at Delhi- based Ferozeshah Kotla stadium, and now the team would have no hurdles to enter Finals of the tournament. It was seen that the England produced a dominant performance and by seven wickets in their semi- final, the New Zealand was knock out of the tournament.

In the opening of the match, it was experienced that the England’s skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bowl fist against New Zealand, as such New Zealand is put to bat first. New Zealand’s openers- Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson started the match with the batting. The batsman- Martin found started well, taking note of his starting four. However, he could not fight for tram more, as his wicket was lost by in his fifteen runs only. Similarly, the Kane Willamson too shown his power by hitting the first six of the innings. It was seen later, after 15 overs of the match, the New Zealand had scored 121 by losing three wickets. And in last over they could take their score to 153 by 8 wickets for the team target. Now the England was having target to make 154 in twenty overs to beat the team.

In the starting of the inning where the England team was to bat, they sent their two batsmen Jason Roy and Alex Hales. While Roy was to start the battle again, he shown his four boundaries in the starting over, which shown that aggression against the battle. And throughout his turn, while in the match, his totally there were 11 fours by the Roy. And after a long struggling battle against the partnership of these two batsmen, the New Zealand in its 8th over was seen able to get Alex’s wicket. And meanwhile, Roy had made his 50s, but after Alex, in the 12th over of the match, Roy was to go. Moreover, after only three wickets which have been lost by the England, they got victory, in the amazing style by hitting a last Six.

Moreover, in the match awards, the Roy was honoured with the ‘Man of the Match’ title. Now, England would be playing against the winner team in the second semi- final match, which may be either India or West Indies.
