New York: A hint to finish the threats using Nuclear launch, the Foreign Minister from the North Korea found telling the Associated Press that North Korea will stop to halt its testing on nuclear weapons, but on the condition if the United States will suspend its annual military exercises with South Korea, then only such tests can be stopped.
Moreover, the said foreign minister- Ri Su Yong from North Korea also appeared defending the rights of its country to maintain a nuclear deterrent and also he warned to the effect that his country will not be scared by international sanctions. Also for the countries which are looking for the collapsing of the regime of North, he said in his word, “don’t hold your breath.”
It was seen that the said foreign minister has made all such statements in his interview with the Western news organisation, yesterday, on 23rd April where he appeared firm with the position of the Pyongyang’s longstanding stand, in which the claim is that the United States has driven North Korea for developing nuclear weapon as an act of self- defense.
Moreover, he is also found suggested that the military exercises with Seoul is suspended, it would open the door for talks and will also reduce tensions. He found stated through an interpreter that “If we continue on this path of confrontation, this will lead to very catastrophic results, not only for the two countries but for the whole entire world as well.” Also, he added that for the United States Government, the withdrawal of its hostile policy against the DPRK- Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is “really crucial”, and also he said “then we will respond likewise.”
As such, in his main contentions he said “Stop the nuclear war exercises in the Korean Peninsula, then we should also cease our nuclear tests.” His interview was conducted in the diplomatic mission of the country to the United Nations. He also added that if the exercises will be halted for “some period, for some years” then the “new opportunities may arise for the two countries and for the whole entire world as well.”
