Bangaluru: India’s one of the finest Cricketer- Sachin Tendulkar, for the first time, has invested in a technology start- up, which is a firm will be making smart devices. Moreover, Sachin has also made commitment that he will also be a brand ambassador for it. It was seen that previously, the former cricketer- Sachin has made sever investments, which including the Indian Tennis League’s Mumbai Franchisee, Indian Super League’s Kochi Franchisee and restaurant like Sachins and Tendulkar’s restaurant with others.
However, this is for the first time, the Ex- cricketman is making investments in the Hyderabad- based start- up- Smarton which the technology start- up. The company which is namely, Smarton is an Internet of Things company and engaged in the building of the host of internet connected devices for the use of consumers and also for the enterprises. The company was founded in the year 2014 (August), and it is now promising to launch its products in the first quarter of the upcoming financial year- 2017.
Moreover, as appears from the statements of Sachin, his attractions towards technology has led him to do this. He found appealing to support the brands which are designed and engineered in the country.
Smarton as being founded by Mahesh Lingareddy, who is also running another venture Soft Machines, is the part of a new wave of IoT start- ups.
Moreover, it is seen that from the instances of the deal, nothing more is being disclosed, however, it is notable that Sachin’s endorsed products will be sold in India.
Thus, it is appearing from this that the ex- cricketman Sachin has now joined the other cricketer’s community, where Yuvraj Singh, Mahesh Bhupati, Zaheer Khan and others have already fond invested in the new ventures.
Also, the founder- Lingareddy is appeared more happy with the joining of Sachin to his founded company. He further told that it is “privileged to have Sachin” in their journey. He also sought to praised the work of Sachin saying that he is one of the “greatest Indian Stories” of their time, further he added terming Sachin as “true global icon”, “brand”, etc.
