Sister of RJD’s MLA sexually assaulted; yesterday dies of injuries

Patna; Bihar: After the sexually assaulted in the night time of two days ago on Monday, the only sister of the RJD- Rashtriya Janata Dal’s MLA from the Bhojpur District- Saroj Yadav, succumbed to her injuries, which she had received while resisting the said assaults.

Saroj Yadav’s sister- Shaili Devi was moving somewhere and for which she took a shared auto- rickshaw from the Keshavpur when suddenly she caught by some youths who boarded the vehicle on the way and started misbehaving with her. She tried to resist the same, while so one of the member from the group of youth attacked her with the iron rod and later, after badly assaulting her, she was thrown out of the auto rickshaw, as such she had received grievous injuries on her head.

The deceased sister of the RJD MLA was 40 years of her age. After an incident, the FIR was lodged against the five people terming them as accused persons in the case. As the Saroj Yadav’s sister found receiving number of injuries, she was taken to the hospital- Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna and she was being treated therein.

Notably, today, as per the sources from the Police officials, two of the accused persons who allegedly assaulted the sister of Saroj Yadav, surrendered before the Arrah Court.

It was seen that when she was thrown out of the auto rickshaw, some of the local residents took her to the hospital in the critical condition, and yesterday, she was declared dead, during the treatment.

Two accused persons are identified and remaining three accused persons are yet not known. The FIR was lodge at the Chandi Police Station.

Moreover, in the statements from the MLA- Saroj Yadav, who expressed agony, and started blaming the Police for the rising of crime and criticised the State Government stating that if the MLA’s sister is not safe, then how will the common man feel safety?

In the tensed situation, the supporters of the MLA gathered on the Patna- Ara road and showing their distress by disrupting the traffic for about 4 hours.
