West Indies Women won against Australian Women in finals of ICC Women’s T 20 World Cup, 2016

Kolkata: It was on Sunday, the ICC World Twenty- 20, 2016’s Women’s series winner was declared to West Indies Women cricketer’s team, who won finals in the tournament against Australia. The final match in the tournament was played between these two teams.

It is further notable that this year, it has happened that both Men’s and Women’s teams from the West Indies got winners title in the ICC World T- 20 tournaments. Here, Women’s team won against Australian team, but there in Men’s tournament, the West Indies team won against England’s team. Thus, the fans of the West Indies cricket teams got double excitement watching their favourite cricket players playing in the finals and winning to get Two big awards of the year.

It the Women’s ICC world cup final, it was seen that the West Indies team was to bowl first, as per decision taken in toss. The Australian women cricket players were to bat first and they start the battle, and finally in result of the end of the inning they made target of 145 runs by losing only 5 wickets. However, when West Indies team began to bat, and by the end of the match, in the last over, leaving 3 bowls left, they reached to the target, after losing only 2 wickets.

While West Indies Women’s were bowling, they had a mixed start to the Sunday fixture, where they introduced Skipper- Stafanie Taylor as spin in the second over and thereafter she handed the ball to Hayley Matthews, and she bowled much to support the team. However the Australian team was raising its score thereafter, but still the fielders engaged all their efforts to confine them under 150. It was seen that one of the best bowlers in the team, Anisa Mohammand found giving terrific performance as she bowled economically in a brilliant way. She bowled for four overs, but she gave only Nineteen runs out of them.

However, the Australian team, in the last over faced the Brilliant bowler from the West Indies team, Deandra Dottin. Moreover while opening from the West Indies in the batting time, they gave excellent batting women to the battle, Hayley Matthews and Stafanie, who shown wonderful opening partnership and their said partnership found adding 120 runs in the scores. While so, the fielding which was seen not good from the side of Australian women’s team, there was lot of support found due to such poor fielding. Thus, the West Indies women got victory.
