Peshawar: Bomb blast took place inside a bus and exploded the vehicle in Peshawar City on Wednesday when bus was on Sunehri Masjid Road, at least 16 government employees killed, others got injured, 8 of them are in critical condition and admitted in ICU. At the time of explosion at least 50 people including government officials and employees of Civil Secretariat where there in the bus, a child and two women were among the dead.
Police says that IED planted inside with 8 kg of explosive is used to blast the bomb. People got panic due to the explosion, “The top part of the bus has blown off and is being cut to pull out the injured,” an eye witness said to The Express Tribune.
Security forces and police started immediate searching operation to avoid further casualties and to find the culprits behind this explosion. Meanwhile Prime Minister Sharif forcefully condemned the attack and conveyed the grief over the life lost in the attack. “These cowardly attacks cannot shatter our unflinching resolve against terrorism,” Sharif said.
