New Delhi: After last week, when the former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader- V. Narayanswamy received a threat letter for the Congress’s young face- Rahul Gandhi, today, Rahul preferred not to visit Puducherry, even though his security in the area was tightened.
The said move from the Congress’s President- Sonia Gandhi’s Son- Rahul was seen adopted in the late night, when tweets stating that Rahul Gandhi has announcement that he will today not visit Puducherry.
The aforesaid former Union Minister and a prominent leader from the Congress party- Narayanswamy who received such threat letter in him Puducherry based- residential home, and he then immediately preferred to convey the same to the other leaders, trusted in Congress. After such threat letter, a report in the Police station is also registered and in connection of which, the police commenced their duty and started investigating the matter.
While so, the Congress’s vice- president- Rahul in the mid- night decided not to visit Puducherry, and seeks to apologize for cancelling his visit. He was scheduled to be there for election rally. In his apology statements, he said that he had been running high fever since Sunday and has been advised by doctors to take rest for the next two days.
As per the earlier schedule, the young leader- Rahul was schedule to visit Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu for the election rally purpose which will be held on 16th day of this month. Moreover, as per the Congress leaders, such visits will be re- scheduled.
As per the threat letter, which was received as unsigned, a threat to the life of the Congress leader- Rahul Gandhi was given and stated that he will be blown into pieces.
It was also seen earlier that the on Monday, 9th day of May, the Government cleared additional security for Rahul Gandhi after his party met the Home Minister- Rajnath Singh about the assassination threats through letter. Even the Police officials from the Puducherry area also made special arrangements for protecting Rahul Gandhi while he was to be engaged with the people in election rally.
