AiSHA uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), a contactless technology that detects micro-changes in facial blood flow through a smartphone camera.
Employees can capture key health metrics—including heart rate, heart rate variability, respiration rate, SpO₂, blood pressure, stress index, facial age, and emotional state—through a 30-second scan.
The tool is designed to make everyday health monitoring routine rather than relying on annual check-ups.
PBFB plans to progressively upgrade AiSHA to include additional non-invasive assessments, such as haemoglobin levels, vascular health, dermal and dental evaluations, and early detection of conditions like jaundice and cataract.
Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head of Policybazaar for Business, said the tool marks a shift in corporate health management from reactive care to preventive, data-driven insights. She noted that early detection and timely intervention can reduce hospitalisation and help organisations manage insurance claims more effectively.
In addition to instant vitals, AiSHA provides personalised lifestyle guidance, stress and sleep insights, chronic-condition tracking, maternity and baby-care support, doctor consultations, and lab integrations. Insurers can use consent-based data to assess workforce health, refine underwriting, and support targeted preventive measures.
Founded in 2021, PBFB is the corporate insurance division of Policybazaar, offering customised insurance solutions to businesses of all sizes across India.
