Google Speech Recognition in Android May Soon available Offline

According to the reports, Google’s Speech Recognition Assistant for searching in android devices will soon be available offline. Speech recognition heavily depends on distributed computing to work ideally. Its memory and power required is  huge. In a recent paper, Google engineers have shared how they utilized profound machine learning strategies to run a speech recognition program suited for smartphone which is not that much heavy.

Google is testing this system which relies on machine understanding, user needs and habits, so we have no idea when this changes reflects in the  android. We can hope to see this functionality in next coming Android N operating system.
