ICC World T-20 Semi final: India lost against West Indies

Mumbai: India lost ICC T-20 World cup as, it lost match against West Indies, which has now entered in Finals, with their terrific performance. This being the second semi- final match in the ICC World T-20, which was played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India, on 31st day of March. From among the teams, India was put to bat first against West Indies which has won the toss and elects to field first.

The match started at 7:00 PM IST, and India’s batsman entered the field and among them Rohit Sharma was to face first ball from Andre Russell of West Indies. Looking to the tight field and good bowling, Rohit and Ajinkya Rahane could have made only two runs in first over, thereafter, in the sixth over of the match, the first 50- run partnership for Indian openers in the tournament was witnessed by the audience. Moreover, in the 13th over of the match, the India got up 100 runs after losing wicket of Rohit Sharma who scored 43, near to his 50. The second opener in the Match- Ajinkya Rahane lost his wicket by scoring 40 runs, in 35 balls. As such, finally, India could have make target of 192 by losing only two wickets. Virat Kohli has successfully made his 50 and till the last over it has scored 89 from 47 balls, thus, his contribution is nearly half of the total runs.

Though it was seemed a good score but, that was not enough, India was to be cautious of Chris Gayle. In the next innings for the West Indies, Chris Gayle and Johnson Charles came as openers for the team, and Chirs Gayle’s wicket was easily taken by the Burmah in second over only after he making 5 runs. In third over, again a Wicket!, Now Marlon Samuels has lost his wicket by making only 8 runs in the match. Considering this, in the start of the match, India started well, however, till then West Indies not have shown its impact on the field, later it started playing well and by the 14th over in the match, team scored 116 at two, and then its third wicket Out!, Johnson Charles after his making 52 lost its wicket. Till the last over, West Indies found coming close to the target, as in the last over West Indies was to have 8 runs in 6 balls, and Virat Kohli was bowling the last over. And with the last SIX by the West Indies player, won the match in their favour.

Now winning this match, West Indies got entered in the FINALs- ICC Word T- 20, now the finals will give us the Winner of this tournament and the owner of this year’s T- 20 World Cup.
