Pune: Jeep has got big plans for India, as we know Grand Cherokee, Cherokee SRT and the Wrangler Unlimited are in the pipeline. Now they are considering to launch their compact SUV Renegade in India which is Developed from the platform of Fiat 500X.
They are test riding the vehicle for a long while in order ‘to make and to change’ the vehicle to be compatible with the Indian roads and conditions, If the sources are correct the Renegade will be rolling out from Fiat’s Pune Plant. It will possibly come with both the Automatic and the Manual versions. Renegade is the cheapest offering from Jeep’s stable with the off-roading capability in its DNA. The exterior feels premium, with the Jeeps unique design, Notably the character line over the hood and the unique grille, but cherry on the cake is the news that there will be no compromising in the interior for the Indian customers.
If the jeep can place the vehicle in 10-18 lakhs segment, then Renegade undoubtedly will be a tough contender in the segment.
