Narendra Dabholhar Murder Case: Central Investigating Agency got 5 days’ time with Tawde

Pune: In connection with the alleged murder of the rationalist- Narendra Dabholhar, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Virendra Tawde was arrested on Friday, 10th June and he was produced yesterday, on Saturday before the Court of Magistrate, namely, N. N. Shaikh, where magistrate granted five more day’s CBI custody to Tawde.

Arrested Tawde is also a member of Right- wing outfits Sanatan Sanstha and also an ENT specialist from Panvel. While deciding the said extended CBI custody to Tawde, Magistrate- N. N. Shaikh found stated that “the offences levelled are obviously serious in nature.” Moreover, magistrate thereafter stated that “considering that, the stage of investigation and submission by both the sides, custodial interrogation appears to be required. Therefore, the accused will be sent to police custody till June 16.”

It is notable that the arrested Tawde was produced before the Magistrate, along with the list of charges which were levelled by the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Mumbai Team against him. Moreover, the team also claiming that the Tawde had been communicating with Sarang Akolkar through e- mails, and that Sarang was accused in the Goa Blast Case of 2009. Moreover, CBI also claiming that they are having a witness too, who will be stating against accused in the case.
