Bengaluru: Bhartiya Janata Party- BJP’s Karnataka Unite Chief- B. S. Yeddyurappa and its Chief Ministerial candidate for the State Assembly elections which is scheduled in the year 2018, will head to drought- affected districts in a Crore Rupees Vehicle termed SUV.
It was said by Yeddyurappa that, on the first day in his office as State BJP President, he was gifted with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado by the former industries Minister- Murugesh R. Nirani. It was seen that the said SUV car of around 2,982 cc engine with the dynamic style has made its debut on yesterday, when the BJP’s state President travel with it between his home and the party office.
Moreover, the people nearby the car and also specially the workers from the BJP, being excited appeared taking selfies with the vehicle in the backdrop.
It was also found stated from the Party source that the leader- Yeddyurappa will embark on the week- long tour to the said drought- hit districts in the Karnataka State using this car, on 24th day of this month.
Moreover, while in the comments which the Yeddyurappa himself preferred justifying his scheduled travel, that “what is wrong in using a luxury car” for travelling in the said “drought- affected areas?”. He also added saying that “my former colleague Nirani has gifted the car.. he felt it would provide me comfort and safety”.
Notably, the former Chief Minister for Karnataka state, Yeddyurappa had recently assumed the charge as the BJP’s President for the State. But in his history, he was forced in the year 2011 to resign as the Chief Minister over graft charges, following which he has also decided to quit the party for forming his won outfit, Karnataka Janata Party. However, Yeddyurappa against returned back in the Bhartiya Janata Party, after the current Prime Minister- Narendra Modi was announced as party’s Prime ministerial candidate soon before the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2014.
Recently, the ANI reported that Yeddyurappa said “after my period is over, he (former industries minister Murugesh Nirani) will take back the car”.
