PM- Modi says none from 99 names of Allah speaks for terror and force: He addresses World Sufi Forum

New Delhi: At the World Sufi Forum, the Prime Minister of India- Narendra Modi has praised Islam for its message of peace and harmony. Also he took opportunity for describing Sufism as one of its greatest contributions.

While addressing a global audience in the opening day of the World Sufi Forum held at New Delhi Yesterday, on Thursday 17th March, the Prime Minster found stated that not a single name of Allah from 99 names, stand for force and violence and the first Two names denoting the compassionate and merciful as in other language Allah is “Rahman and Raheem”. Thus, taking this into account, PM- Modi claimed that those who are spreading Terror in the name of religion are “anti- religious”.

The discussion is on Terrorism in the three- day event in which the Sufi scholars from around the World are taking participation.

Modi further sought to refer the thoughts of Amir Khusrau (the Sufi Poet of 13th Century), where he said “When the spiritual love of Sufism and not the Violent force of Terrorism, flows across the border, then on the earth, this region will be paradise.

Further, he stated that in India, Sufism became the face of Islam. Also he said in India’s openness of pluralism, Sufism blossomed. And this Sufism, as per Modi, taught love for country and pride for nation and this define the Muslims in India.

Moreover, as per Modi, the Muslims in India have steep in the democratic tradition of India and also seem confident of their place in the country. Also they have invested in the future of nation, as per Modi.

Modi, further, added that as a Nation, “we stood against colonialism and in our struggle for freedom”. He said that the idea of division based on religion is being rejected by the “tallest of our leaders”- Maulana Azad and “spiritual leaders”- like Maulana Hussain Madani and millions of ordinary citizens.

Thus, he concluded after speaking over number of other things, in which he also found addressing the audience that “Terrorism divides and destroys us”.
