Uttarakhand Crisis to end: Harish Rawat won majority; Centre Admits and SC declares him successful

New Delhi: After voting for the floor test in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, which was done yesterday, now today, on 11th May, Wednesday the Centre acknowledging that Harish Rawat had won a trust vote and now Congress Government in the State of Uttarakhand is set to return in Power.

Besides, the Central Government’s so declaring, the honourable Supreme Court of India also declared the Harish Rawat has cleared in the voting and now all desk clear for him to reinstate the position of Chief Minister in the State. Yesterday’s voting report was submitted before the Apex Court today, and after examining the same, the Court declared him clear.

It is notable here, that from amongst the Sixty- One effective votes, the former Chief Minister- Harish Rawat got thirty- three votes in his favour and remaining twenty- eight against him. In his got thirty- three votes the twenty- six votes were from Congress members, and One from BJP, Two from BSP, One more from UKD and three from independent members received in his favour.

Now, after such floor test results, the Central Government seeks to inform to the honourable Apex Court that the President’s Rule which was used by the Centre controversially in the March for removing the Chief Minister- Harish Rawat, now will be put to nullity.

Moreover, the Attorney General- Mukul Rohatgi while informing the court about the instances of the floor test, said that there is “no doubt that Harish Rawat has proved his majority. My instructions are that the Centre will revoke the President’s Rule.”

Moreover, soon after the results were declared, the Congress’s young leader- Rahul Gandhi tweeted that “hope Modiji learns his lesson- ppl (People) of this country & the institutions built by our founding fathers will not tolerate the murder of democracy!”

It was after the decision of the Supreme Court which has last week stated that Mr. Rawat must be give a chance to prove that he still has a majority in the state legislature. Of course, this time, Mr. Rawat got support from Mayawati and also from a member from BJP who decided to chose Mr. Rawat to led the State.
